Using our smartchange application allows you to outsource the creation and management
of a section of your intranet to help you to inspire your employees to get more
involved in and support their communities.
Delivered over the Internet, this is an online software application, that requires
very little integration with your IT system or effort by your company's IT staff.
There are five sections to our corporate intranet product
Branding
We work with you to customise the product to have an identical "look and
feel" to your existing intranet or corporate website. Our designers can
also help you use the product to develop new styles or new ways of working on
your existing intranet or corporate website.
Benefit: Your employees will perceive themselves still to be on the company's
intranet and that the service is provided by you their employer for their benefit.
Database of charities
We are growing a community of charities (well over a thousand so far) who have
developed information-rich profiles that tell you and your employees the difference
they are making, and the help they need. These profiles include the charity's
aims, volunteering opportunities, projects, achievements and needs.
Benefit: Your employees can search for charities and volunteering opportunities
that match their interests.
Online magazine
You can develop an online magazine using our unique content management system.
You can enter news stories, case studies, volunteering opportunities, photos,
forms, video clips and manipulate the system to profile special initiatives
and company programmes.
Benefit: You will save costs and time in communicating new initiatives to your
employees, reducing the need for posters, newsletters and group briefings in
separate locations.
Payroll giving online
Employees can set up and modify payroll donations online, without the need for
physical signatures or filling out paper forms.
Benefit: Many employees are put off from payroll giving because of the lengthy
forms. By completing the form online, employees can manage their payroll donations
more easily.
Payroll processing
We seamlessly integrate with your payroll systems or pass the employee payroll requests (as an encrypted electronic data package)
to your payroll department and they will then pass the usual data to your payroll-giving
agency.
Benefit: Your company's payroll department will save time and cost in not having
to retype forms or rectifying data entry mistakes.

Unlike Professional Fundraising Organisations, smartchange does not campaign once or twice a year and interrupt the employees, it is always on and always there, even accessible from home, if permitted.
Also unlike Professional Fundraising Organisations, smartchange does not charge the charity anything for being in the list, however, the Payroll Giving Agency normally charges a fee for distributing the payroll donations.
The smartchange charity list is growing at about six new charity registrations per week.
smartchange can be securely accessed via our Call Centre for staff who do not have easy access to the company's Intranet or a PC. Our skilled call centre staff are able to help an employee with their donation and/or volunteering decisions and to help them securely manage their existing giving requests.
