The Smartchange solution and services are provided by Vivid Orange Limited.

In 2001, Vivid Orange Limited started providing technology services for the not-for-profit sector. Vivid Orange is recognised by its charity sector clients for a pragmatic approach combined with solid project management to deliver solutions that provide tangible and measurable benefits, with a focus on accessibility and usability.

Vivid Orange was among the first organisations to bring the benefits of offshoring to the UK charity sector. Vivid Orange has a team of over 20 experienced programmers, graphic and database designers based offshore delivering on a multitude of projects, including the maintenance and implementation of Smartchange, for clients.

Vivid Orange is committed to working with the voluntary sector. Vivid Orange do not believe that charities should be charged fees for attracting donors, and charities should not be charged for having the details of their supporters, where the supporters do not wish to remain anonymous.

Vinay Khosla and Ejaz Rashid, the founders of Vivid Orange, have first class commercial IT backgrounds. Vinay Khosla comes from a management consultancy background, previously working for Accenture and Sema Group; Ejaz Rashid has over 14 years solid technical experience and has been the advisor and Chief Technology Officer for a number of internet based businesses.

Since 2003, Vivid Orange has been a sponsor of the Guardian Charity Awards. Vinay Khosla is also a judge for this prestigious award.

In early 2003, Vivid Orange attracted philanthropic foundation funding allowing them to focus on the development and delivery of the Smartchange employee giving solution. The Smartchange Solution for Companies and for Charities is now the main focus for Vivid Orange.
